Project Sneh

To combat malnutrition JSPL Foundation is providing nutrition support to underprivileged children and senior citizens. This initiative is carried out at Angul, Barbil, Raigarh & Tamnar benefitting more than 1500 families, 3500 children and 250 senior citizens. Access to adequate and nutritious food is ensured to the target children in convergence with ICDS, different organizations like Adruta Home, Adivasi Vikas Samiti in Serenda & Rawa Academy.

Outcomes: At Angul

  • Adruta home - The BMI of children have improved to normal category.
  • Pallahara Children –Nutrition support to 1206 malnourished at Pallahara Block.
    At Barbil:
  • Adivasi Vikash Samiti, Serenda – Everyday two hot cooked meals are served to 1141 tribal Children enabling them to attend school regularly. This has resulted in near 100 % school attendance of the tribal school children.
  • Rawa Academy – The BMI of 30 children have improved to Normal category out of 43 Children.
    At Raigarh:
  • 755 children are supported with nutrition supply in collaboration with ICDS, Raigarh.
    At Tamnar:
  • Taking care of 6000+ malnourished children identified in 56 villages
  • 5000+ plus malnourished children turned in normal category.
  • More than 83% reduction in malnutrition amongst target children.
