Formed to spearhead the work of Jindal Steel & Power. (JSP) Group CSR as well as philanthropic activities, Jindal Foundation’s objective is to bring about a meaningful change to the lives of the underprivileged across the country and strive to integrate them into the mainstream. In this mission, there are no geographical and social boundaries and Jindal Foundation is open to work in any part of the country.
The Foundation is reaching out and conducting programmes at the state and national level through the Swayamsiddh and Rashtriya Swayamsiddh Samman in which we felicitate grassroot level community leaders contributing to nation building and also communicating the overall objective of the Jindal Foundation to the nation. The Foundation has instituted a unique initiative called SwayamShilp, wherein a series of workshops will be conducted across India thereby providing artists from the tribal hinterland of the country with a national platform.
However, I believe that there is no end to the contribution one can give for the betterment of our society. Working towards the upliftment of the underprivileged is the best way to serve mankind. What we are doing is just a drop in the ocean. But, it is each drop that together makes the ocean. Today, we are here, tomorrow our future generation will carry forward the work of Jindal Foundation. The journey will go on…
I invite all of you to suggest any other work that the Jindal Foundation can do in terms of CSR in India. I assure you that each idea will be carefully studied and implemented if found suitable. It will enable us to invest in People. After all, individual commitment is what makes a team, a company, a society and a civilisation work.
