Jindal Foundation believes in building social capital in the community by facilitating social investments based on the partnership and community ownership mode. We wish to promote the concept of "Leadership with trust" working with local communities and other stakeholders for ensuring continuous and smooth operations. In order to cement this partnership further, between civil society, government and business, the Foundation pursues responsible collaboration in implementation of social development models for building synergetic partnerships.

The Jindal Foundation has been consciously aligned to the framework of Triple Bottom Line (i.e. people, planet, profit) adopted by JSP and therefore has developed an operating system which is compatible to the environmental as well as to the community needs. This approach of using TBL as a framework with a focus on building synergetic partnerships plays a crucial role in truly building pathways for sustainable development in the regions where JSP has been executing its CSR work. Formation of such synergetic partnerships is ensured by the following thoughtful steps:

  • Ensuring that the relevant communities benefit with the Jindal Foundation proactively responding to their needs.
  • Building and strengthening the community based institutions.
  • Working in partnership with civil society organisations (CSOs) and in convergence with the government bodies to widen the reach and leverage each partner's individual experience and expertise.
  • Providing required assistance during times of disasters

The Foundation's approach is anchored on sustainability, partnerships with the community and stake holding. This enables the communities generate their development needs, work out its implementation, forge partnerships wherever necessary, secure funds and in turn oversee their own development projects.

The Sustainable Development Goals can only be realized with a strong commitment to global as well as local partnership and cooperation. Given that the world today is more interconnected than ever before, improving access to technology and knowledge is an important way to share ideas and foster innovation. Jindal Foundation realises that there are many synergies possible and we drive to introspect as to in what way are the Foundation's activities are aligning with International, National and Local targets or policies. Our approach has also been to create shared value with creation of key institutions including those in the realms of education.

The Jindal Foundation Projects and Alignment with UN's Sustainable Development Goals:

The UN Sustainable Development Goals can only be realized with a strong commitment to global as well as local partnership and cooperation. Given that the World today is more interconnected than ever before, improving access to technology and knowledge is an important way to share ideas and foster innovation. The Foundation realises that there are many synergies possible and we drive to introspect as to in what way are our developmental projects are aligned with International, National and Local targets or policies.

Jindal Foundation has been contributing to the society through all our sustainable CSR interventions which are also aligned with 17 Sustainable Development Goals launched by United Nations.

Those activities undertaken by JSPL Foundation pursuing the CSR projects of JSPL are not only sustainable but are also aligned with Schedule VII under Companies Act 2013.

Jindal Foundation's approach has been to create shared value with creation of key institutions including those in the realms of education. CSR activities, from crafting, assessing to reporting will benefit greatly from academic rigour. In keeping pace of these realised synergies as a result of JSP's institution building activities, a resulting evolution will be in CSR with a strong industry-academia-policy-community partnership.

Jindal Foundation executes the projects adopting a 360° approach to ensure that core principles in sustainability, social & ecological resilience are integrated across all stakeholders.

Through this approach, we ensure successful implementation and adoption of community projects. The Foundation has been steering the community participation and ownership of social development projects by way of capacity building and effective collaboration. These interventions ensure that core principles in sustainability and social & ecological resilience are integrated across all stakeholders, hence aligned to UN SDGs.
360 Approach
The Foundation's approach is anchored on sustainability, partnerships with the community and stakeholding. This enables the communities to generate their development needs, work out its implementation, forge partnerships wherever necessary, secure funds and in turn, oversee their own development projects.
We ensure successful implementation and adoption of community projects. Techniques like Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA), Need-Profile Analysis and Need-prioritisation are used as effective community participation tools on the ground.
These activities undertaken by Jindal Foundation pursuing the CSR projects of JSP are not only sustainable but are also aligned with Schedule VII under Companies Act 2013.
