Mobile Veterinary Service is a convenient and efficient approach which allows veterinarians to examine, treat, and vaccinate animals at their owners' preferred location, such as homes, or even farms. This service caters to a wide range of animals, including cows, dogs, and other livestock, ensuring they receive proper medical attention without causing undue stress or inconvenience to the animals or their owners. Looking at its importance and emergent need, Jindal Foundation has taken a pioneering step by integrating animal care and animal husbandry into its CSR initiative in 2023. The prime objective of such initiative is to support the livelihoods of rural farmers who depend upon livestock, such as cattle, buffalo, goat, sheep, and poultry. This initiative will also result in production of quality animals through latest technology of artificial insemination and reduce the load of stray animals on the roads. This service has been operating in peripheral villages of Angul (Odisha) and Raigarh (Chhattisgarh) through mobile veterinary ambulance. Circular Economy is a sustainable economy model where most of the material for a new product comes from the older product. Based on the concept of Reduce, Reuse, Repair, and Recycle, it is one of the solutions to handle the climate change crisis. Circular Economy removes the pressure from natural resources by encouraging the use of old and waste materials for production rather than using virgin materials promoting the efficient use of resources. Compared to other districts of Odisha, Angul district has witnessed a steep rise in the economy in the last few years. Looking at this negative environmental effect, it was felt by Jindal Foundation that Environmental Education, Awareness and Training will play a significant role in encouraging and enhancing people’s participation in activities aimed at conservation, protection, and management of the environment, essential for achieving sustainable development. This process should begin with schools to make the future generation ready for creating an eco-friendly environment. Jindal Foundation joined hands with District Administration, in establishing eco-clubs in 259 schools of Angul District. The Eco clubs established in 259 selected schools will empower over 1 Lakh+ students to participate and take up meaningful environmental activities and projects. It is a forum through which students can reach out to influence, engage their parents and neighbourhood communities to promote sound environmental behavior. It will empower students to explore environmental concepts and actions beyond the confines of a syllabus or curriculum.
